Assistant Vice President - Investment Accounting Reporting

General purpose of position

~~Manage the preparation of the monthly and quarterly investment accounting financial disclosures. 
Prepare monthly and quarterly analyses and commentary on investment results. Ensure SOX compliance including developing, documenting, testing and reviewing controls and procedures.
 

Primary duties/responsibilities

~~Manage the preparation of quarterly financial reporting disclosures relating to investment accounting including: 10K & 10Qs; Operating Supplement; and Board Book disclosures;
Manage the preparation of Statutory investment pages, quarterly and annual Schedule D’s, footnotes and interrogatories;
Manage the preparation of Statutory audited financial statements for investments;
Provide and analyze monthly and quarterly investment results;
Manage the SOX process for investment accounting group;
Coordinate internal and audit requests;
Assist with special projects

Excellent computer skills including Excel, Access, Word, and Power Point;
Strong analytical skills
 

Education, certifications and/or experience requirements

~~Financial service services sector (Financial Guaranty is a plus);
Proficiency with PeopleSoft General Ledger is a plus
~~Bachelor's degree in Accounting;
Minimum of 5 years in a senior level investment accounting position
