Team Overview

The Investor Relations and Marketing team manages and develops AssuredIM’s relationships with existing and prospective investors, in support of the four core investment teams and strategies of the firm. The team acts in two critical capacities, as advocates for our investors and a voice of the firm to them.  We learn and understand investors’ needs, challenges, and decision drivers and strive to create tailored solutions to meet their goals.

The team works with our business leaders and portfolio managers to design, develop, and produce all materials that existing and prospective investors receive, including risk reporting, portfolio details, performance commentary, market color, industry updates, operational reports, and investor requests for proposals/due diligence questionnaires.

The team also leverages investor intelligence for AssuredIM’s corporate development and strategy. This includes competitive positioning, market color, investor sentiment, new product development, etc. Given this role, the team is a key driver of AssuredIM’s longer-term strategic plans.

The Client Advisor will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer/Head of Distribution as well of the leaders of each of our four businesses to support our client dialogues and deliverables. The position is designed for candidates with 3-5 years of relevant experience, who have proven themselves as top performers among their peers.

Primary duties/responsibilities

  • The Client Advisor is responsible for developing and maintaining deep knowledge about AssuredIM’s investment funds, portfolio and trading strategies, risk metrics and reporting, and historical performance. S/he uses this knowledge to respond to client inquiries, proactively initiate strategic dialogues and prepare custom investor materials (presentations, due diligence questionnaires, white papers, etc.).
  • In order to perform the above, this person must have a high level of dexterity with all aspects of the firm, the markets in which the funds operate, the instruments used and the Firm’s data/systems. The Client Advisor will work closely and collaboratively with multiple internal teams.

Specific skills, competencies, resources and/or software/technology used on the job

The candidate must possess outstanding written and verbal communications skills.  The ideal candidate will excel in a collaborative team environment and will approach tasks and projects proactively and take ownership to ensure outcomes are met.  Previous experience/knowledge of credit markets and financial instruments is desired. Other qualifications include:

Education, certifications and/or experience requirements

We are looking for candidates who have 3-5 years of experience in a role with similar responsibilities at a top Investment Bank, Hedge Fund, Asset Manager, or other leading Financial Services institution. A strong analytical and quantitative background is absolutely essential.
