General purpose of position

The goal of information security is to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets. The Information Security team is responsible for defining and implementing security policies and standards and continuously monitoring for new threats. The Information Security Administrator is part of the Information Security team, reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer, and is responsible for identity & access management, vulnerability management, and vendor security.

Primary duties/responsibilities

  • Identity & Access Management

     – User Onboarding/Offboarding/Transfers

     – Application Access Provisioning

     – Recertifications

     – Privileged Identity Management

  • Vulnerability Management

     – Vulnerability Assessments & Tracking

     – Vulnerability Scanning

  • Vendor Security Reviews
  • Physical Security

     – Access Control System

     – Video Surveillance

  • eDiscovery

Specific skills, competencies, resources and/or software/technology used on the job

  • Good understanding of information security principles and enterprise technologies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both orally and in writing.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and technologies.

Education, certifications and/or experience requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field.
  • Experience with access provisioning for technologies such as Active Directory, Windows, SharePoint, PeopleSoft, or databases.
