Insurance Portfolio Transfer to Address Potential Impact of Brexit

Update 25 September 2020:

The High Court of Justice, Business and Property Courts of England and Wales, Companies Court, sanctioned the Scheme on 25 September 2020 and ordered that the Scheme shall take effect on 1 October 2020.  Click here for a copy of the Order.

Update 18 September 2020:

The final hearing on 25 September 2020 will take place remotely using Skype for Business.  Anyone wishing to attend will therefore need to provide an email address so that this can be included in the Court's electronic invitation to the Skype for Business call.  Anyone wishing to do so should provide the relevant email address to: nkirk@agltd.com and rcove@agltd.com.

Update 4 August 2020:

The final hearing for this Part VII transfer which was originally proposed for 24 January 2020 but then postponed is now expected to take place on 25 September 2020. The original final hearing was expected to be a physical hearing at:

Rolls Building
Royal Courts of Justice
7 Rolls Building
Fetter Lane
London EC4A 1NL

However, due to the current COVID-19 situation, the Court hearing is now expected to be held remotely (via phone or videolink). Any policyholders (and their representatives) who wish to be heard at the final hearing should contact us as soon as possible to let us know and we will provide the administrative details for the final hearing once they are available including, if required, how to access the hearing remotely.
