U.S. Bank, Assured Guaranty and Syncora Reach RMBS Settlement with GreenPoint

On December 29, 2017, U.S. Bank National Association, as indenture trustee (the “Trustee”), Assured Guaranty Corp., as insurer of the Class Ac Notes (approximately 27% of the insured notes), and Syncora Guarantee Inc., as insurer of the Class Ax Notes (approximately 73% of the insured notes), reached a settlement with GreenPoint Mortgage Funding, Inc. with respect to their dispute relating to the GreenPoint Mortgage Funding Trust 2006-HE1 transaction.  The terms of the settlement are confidential, but Assured Guaranty understands the Trustee will be communicating directly with noteholders regarding the settlement. Additional information about the settlement will be included in Assured Guaranty’s year-end financial disclosure.
